We’ve listened to your views and will progress with the most popular choices for Rayners Lane. To ensure that these improvements are the very best they can be, we will be hosting two days of drop-in sessions on the picnic benches outside Scooperb on Rayners Lane on Thursday 12th August from 11:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 14th August from 11:00 to 16:00. The aim of the sessions will be to work with you to shape the designs of the improvements and refine what these could look like.

Improving our high streets, you said, we listened

Edgware, North Harrow, South Harrow and Rayners Lane are set to receive funding for a range of improvements to their high streets.

The High Street Fund is money provided by Harrow Council to support local district centres to refresh the high street area, creating a safer, vibrant and more pleasant environment for all.

Following consultation to seek local residents’ views on proposed improvements, feedback indicated strong support for Festive Lighting and Paved (Copenhagen) Crossings across three of the four areas, with the fourth choosing Painted Lamp Columns and Paved (Copenhagen) Crossings. Residents also said, that in addition to road safety improvements and creative features, they wanted greener, environmentally friendly spaces on their high street.

Results are now available to view online , for all four district centres

The feedback and insights gained so far will be used to shape design ideas for local improvements. To continue the conversation, a series of drop-in sessions will take place over the next few months, before any final decisions are made. The first sessions take place at the following locations and dates:
